Positive OPK this AM and now a Negative OPK this evening?!?

I'm on cd 9. I had an OPK that was positive this morning, so we did the BD. I then tested again late this afternoon and it is now negative?

I noticed a slight raise in my BBT this morning as well, but then the positive OPK put my mind at ease. I then tested again late this afternnon because I was hoping to see how long the positive window would be. Isn't that a bit short or a window?

This was with using the ClearBlue OPK

Any thoughts or experience with this sort of thing?

You may have been catching the very end of your surge. Otherwise, your body may have geared up to ovulate producing the surge, and then didn't release the egg for whatever reason. Watch your temps over the next few days and you'll know if you actually o'd or not Even if you did catch the end of the surge you still have 12-48 hours until ovulation and supposedly the closer to ovulation you bd the higher the chances of conception! GL!
