Poss ectopic, water infection, bleeding confused

Hello ladies

I am a medical mystery it seems...

Had my AF last Weds (28day cycle) all normal, bit more crampy than usual but finished Saturday eve. Carried on cramping through to Tuesday then started bleeding Tues eve, through the night into Weds.

Friend suggested testing for pg so I did, FMU, came up BFP.

Went to Drs Weds as if I was indeed pg and bleeding that's not good, plus still cramping front and back - painful.

Dr said possible ectopic upon examination, did pg test BFN (?) sent to me hospital with a letter. Spent 8 hours being passed from pillar to post, finally saw gynae Dr who did swabs, said cervix closed now and no more blood, did beta HCG blood which was 43, said to come back Fri for 48hr test but snowed in

Said cramps could be water infection so prescribed antibiotics, very strong ones.

Now I have appt Monday for another beta, in the mean time i did pg test (urine) Thurs and Fri FMU but both BFN, BUT spent all day today crying at literally everything so did a test on the off chance about 20 mins ago and BFP.

What the....? lol

how can i be pg less than a week after AF? How can i get BFP, BFN, BFP? Anyone any similar situations??

I would guess you've mc maybe. And the hormone is still in your body. Im currently having treatment for a pg of unknown location (probably ectopic but can't see it on a scan, so can't confirm it) and originally it was thought I'd mc because I had a bleed and scan showed empty uterus, it wasn't until a week later I was still getting bfp they took more blood and the levels had quadrupled, so clearly I was still pg somewhere.

Hope the next bloods give you more answers , it's horrible not knowing what's going on, I feel for you.

It is awful not knowing one way or other.
Hopefully I will get more answers tomorrow, if we don't get more snow in the meantime.
I really appreciate you replying. I know nobody can help until I get the bloods but it can get pretty lonely x
