Has anyone had to change their wedding plans due to a lovely little surprise :)baby:) ???!!!

Is it possible to have a perfect day on half your original budget with a much smaller guest list (10% of it!).

H2B really wanted the whole big church wedding with stateley home reception and basically a really showy wedding. I have always fancied low key.

After a bit of a fantasticly welcomed surprise this morning he is saying we cant afford baby and wedding and we will have to put wedding on the back burner.
I, however, really want to be his wife asap.
I wonder if he will come round after the initial shock.
My head is scrambled!

Hi hun we planned to get married before I got pg but then when we found out my due date was the same month we decided to postpone. We were going to have a fancy wedding too but knew we couldn't afford both.

But a few weeks ago I got thinking and to be honest I could marry df in a blacnk bin liner in a field for all I care I just want to be his wife. Anyways I discussed it with df and he agreed thata big wedding didn't matter and that as long as we become man and wife then thats the most important. So our wedding is back on and we are working on a very very tight budget.

Perhaps talk to your partner about it and point out how much it means to you. x

I also noticed in your ticker you have had losses :hugs: this was another reason why in the end I didn't want to postpone the wedding. After I lost Jessica we decided to get married to give us something positive to focus on. I was scared that if I lost Lewis like I did Jessica I would have nothing in 2010 to look forward to iykwim. Hope that makes sense! x

First off... CONGRATULATIONS on you're lovely little suprise :)

This is what me and hubby faced a couple of months ago. After we found out he wanted to put it back I wanted to bring it forward. In the end I won and we got married last weekend :) It was a lot smaller than originally planned but it was perfect.

x

Well DF has come round so much more. :happydance:
Problem is he now wants to get married before I start showing!!!

It's still really early days for us. I'm going to have repeat hcg levels drawn today to see if we have a nice healthy double and also so we can establish when to do an early scan. [-o<

So if we get the best news possible from these blood results it looks like I've got roughly 3 months to plan our wedding!!!
:happydance::wedding::yipee::headspin:

Aww thats fab news sweetheart! I hope the blood tests come back ok and your first scan goes well.

Have fun planning I only have 4 months to plan ours its so exciting but soooo stressful at the same time trying to find the money to pay for everything lol. x

We planned the whole wedding in 7 weeks so it can be done :) just don't get too stressed x

We moved ours from September to June when I found out I was pregnant and ours went fantastic, we only had immediate family there because we wanted to keep things personal. I couldn't justify the amount of cost involved for extra people who I wouldn't feel completely comfortable having there.

We're due in October and had been trying for 6 years. So our wedding was about a celebration of not only ourselves but of life and feeling really lucky how far we'd come.

Hope you can get it arranged, just know in your heart what you want because you only get married once!
