Possibly pregnant having Upper GI this Fri.

So this month has been so strange. I had six days of + opk and now they are negative. We have bd every day hoping for a bfp this month. I am due for af next Tues. I went to the Dr. today for a check up because I have been having abdominal pain. He did a blood test which was negative and schedueld me for an abdominal ultrasound and upper GI to see whats going on in my stomach for this Friday. Could this hurt if i'm actually pregnant already? & would they be able to tell in the ultrasound if I am pregnant since I would only be at max two weeks by then?

I do not think that the Ultrasound would hurt because they do ultrasounds when you are pregnant anyways. Since you could only be two weeks, I do not think the ultrasound will pick up anything. Are you talking two weeks from Ovulation or two weeks from your first day of last period?

Since it is only 2 weeks from Ovulation, unless the Dr. is specifically looking to find a baby, he wouldn't be able to detect it esp. if it is a normal ultrasound and not the one they use to do internally. I am not a professional and this is just what I think. If someone else knows more, they can correct me.

I don't know what an upper GI involves but it wouldn't show on an ultrasound. They're likely looking for something specific and therefore will not be looking at your uterus. As far as I know early ultrasounds are done vaginally because they can't see anything otherwise. 4 weeks would probably be too soon to show anything concrete on even a vaginal ultrasound. I think it would take closer to 6 weeks. I was 5 w 5 d at my first ultrasound with my son and I got to see his heartbeat. I think I was fortunate to see it that early.
