Post from UK to US

I sent a parcel from the UK to Washington, D.C. USA two weeks ago. It is a present and I need to get it there before christmas. I posted it via Royal Mail. I didn't pay for tracking so I do not have a clue where it is. Parcel was labelled with correct address.
Anyone know when it will get there or do you think it has been lost??!

Can take up to 6 weeks by their policy but usually only takes a couple though. I post to the USA all the time for work With royal mail and its usually only 1 to 2 weeks, its always longer than their estimate. Mind you this doesn't even include the christmas rush so it is likely to take a bit longer

Did you pay first class (air mail) or what ever they call it? Should only be a few weeks, surface mail, boat, 2nd class will take at least 6 weeks.

OH has posted things to all different states and they took 4-5 days. Not during Christmas holidays though.
