I had my baby on the 30th september and after birth had quite heavy blood loss just like a heavy period, but now 2 weeks after its not heavy but still bleed bright red blood. It eased off after 1 week and started to go watery and lighter in colour but now I dont bleed much allday then come the evening I'll bleed a bit and its bright red like a light period, and it happens more if I've been walking a lot, is this normal?? I cant remember bleeding like this after my 1st,I can remember it going pink and stopping after 2 weeks. I havent got any pain or cramps. Has anyone got any advice, I'm a little worried now

Mine didn't settle till week 3 and then it was light till week 5. X

Yes it is normal. Mine didnt start to settle till 3 weeks finally stopped around 4 and half to 5 weeks pp

Mine lasted nearly 8 weeks and was bright red until almost the end.

yes i had the same dont worry its normal. its perfectly normal to still bleed at 2weeks its nothing. i bled mini of 3 weeks with dd2, 6weeks with dd1 and 10weeks with ds

Mine stopped for now but sometimes when I bleed but is more watery, is not bright red anymore.

This has made me feel better, i am 3.5 weeks and its still going and was starting to worry. Cant believe how long it goes on for!! x

It is funny how we are all different, mine slowed after about 7 days, now at 15 days its incredibly intermitent and light pink. It was not ever like a period really, seemed a lot lighter to me. I did have a forceps delivery and my uteras did not contract too well so i think they may have given me some medication which may have perhaps impacted my bleeding afterwards x x
