Postpartum infection - did you get it again?

After I had my DD I was readmitted with an infection and had to have IV antibiotics, I'm scared it will happen again although midwife says it was just bad luck.
Did anyone have this with one pregnancy and not with another?

Where was the infection? Was in to the lining of your uterus? I had this with my first but it started before he was delivered. I had nothing of the sort with my second.

Thanks for replying, I'm not sure if it was in my womb lining or stitches, I remember the doctors not seeming to be sure or maybe I wasn't very with it and can't remember!!
