Hi all!

Ive gone through a lot of threads about the slings and most suggested is Moby wrap, but I really am not comfortable with the idea. I already have Chicco baby carrier, but want as well something like pouch, so baby can feel closer to me and my hands and back will have a rest.
So far I found Liberty Pouch sling and 4-In-1 Baby Sling
by Lula Sapphire. Anyone had experience with them? Or any other recommendations?
thanks:flower:

Well, of course, I think mine are the bomb. I am the owner of Earthslings Baby Products and everything in my store is made by me at home and I mainly make pouch slings. https://www.etsy.com/shop/earthslings Also good are AKA pipik, Hotslings and Peanut Shell who all make nice good quality pouch slings. A good fit is vital so work with the maker to get one that is just right.

Honestly, I'd avoid pouch slings. The lack of adjustments and the curled up position of a newborn aren't ideal. Consider a ring sling or a wrap, maybe? There are so many types of slings out there, each with different properties.

Just had a google of the lula sapphire sling. It's very similar to a baba sling, and I don't know anyone who particularly rates it as a carrier. I've never used one myself, but they're said to be hard to adjust and have too much fabric to get a small baby safely positioned easily. They're pretty good for older babies and toddlers as a quick up and down, but lack the adjustability of a ring sling.

I would avoid a pouch sling too, they just don't look the safest option to me. I think they're too easy to use wrongly and dangerously. What is it about the Moby you don't like? There are pre-tied wraps like the Caboo which look the same but have less tying, or you could get a more structured carrier like an Ergo/Connecta/Manduca/Boba/Beco etc that fastens with buckles perhaps? They may sound similar to a Chicco carrier but they are most definitely not! You say your back and hands need a rest - a good carrier (like the ones I mentioned) don't need you to use your hands and shouldn't hurt your back :) And baby is in contact with your body, there's no fabric between you in most of the ones I mentioned, so baby is nice and snuggled into you.

i'm using the caboo closer which i don't think is classified as a pouch sling but i think it's great and easy and bubs loves it and i feel safe with her there :)

The caboo close carrier is like a pre-tied stretchy wrap. We started off with one of those. Nice and simple to use
