Pre-term labours - why??

My waters broke at exactly 31 weeks for no reason. we arrived at hospital and LO was in distress so had c-section within 10 mins of drs decision.
When LO arrived he had the cord round his neck 4 times and a true knot in 1 end:wacko: I was told this had nothing to do with my waters breaking. But lucky they did because without that we would of never known of his distress and he wouldn't have made it threw labour or for much longer.
The midwife said someone was looking over us.
When I went to see the consultant he said there was a condition where some women produce extra long cords but mine was never measured:shrug:So not sure if that is me, no infection was found.
I feel very lucky to have my perfect angel baby:cloud9::cloud9:

Gosh that's so scary. So glad your LO made it safely :hugs:

No idea why I had Poppy early but I did have a massive bleed at 10 weeks and was convinced I'd lost the baby but all was well! They basically told me after the bleed it could go either way now! I'm sure I read that if you have a bleed early in pregnancy it can mean you give birth prematurely? That would add up in my case.

I had olly at 34 weeks, like you totally normal pregnancy, my waters broke and they did a bunch of tests and there was totally and uterally no medical reason it happened, the DR and MW said it could just be that the baby decided he was ready to come out! How odd I know, but literally nothing happened that should have set me off.
So odd isnt it.
