New baby has just been diagnosed with a milk protien allergy.

Is anyone else using this milk?
Have few questions about it and what to expect from consultants/dieticians

We are on puramino as my daughter has the same thing..... Will help if I can 😀

Might be different but prejestamil was made up in advance and chilled in hospital and the box suggests the same. Goes against everything I was.taught. by.hv though. Do you make in advance?

Also was your lo ever put on a diet? mines on a strict X number of Oz per her weight. She could easily eat more and she's only on the 2nd percentile for weight. Feels odd not to feed till she looks full or shows signs of being done

How long did the symptoms of allergic reaction last?

How often have you seen a dietician or consultant of your in the UK?

Sorry that your going through this too, I think for us it's been a bit different as Isla didn't have an allergic reaction but was very sick and generally poorly on normal formula.
I make up six bottles in a morning and put them in the fridge and then just use them as and when needed. In terms of seeing a dietician...... Well three weeks ago they told me they would ring me to go through the next stage of what is happening, I'm yet to hear off anyone! The milk we have got has been given to us on repeat prescription so I think after I have got the next lot I will ring the dietician myself and ask her what I need to do about weaning etc.
How is your lo now?

Getting there been on the pregestimil for 5 days now. She's a different baby. As awful as it sounds we didn't see how poorly she was until she's now better. She's a different colour even her face and body are a different shapes and she's so much more settled.

I spoke to the dietician today and appointments aren't available till mid September but said my Hv has to contact them if she doesn't now start gaining properly. She's down onto the 2nd percentile now and 6lb 12 at 3 weeks so I'm hoping she has a bit of a growth spurt.
Seeing the Gp tomorrow to sort out her prescription for milk and her dermatologist stuff
