Hello all! This is my first post but I'm not new to these forums as I signed up with previous pregnancies, sadly I can't recall my passwords. Anyways I digress!
I was wondering if any of you lovely people could help?
I have had two c-sections, one in 2004 and one 10 months ago. After my last one I was told my bladder had attached to my womb and if I were to have another child it would be really tricky and require a specialist.
Now my worries are, with my section being only 10 months ago am I at a high risk? Would I be able to pursue a VBA2C? Any help, advice or personal input is really really appreciated. I'm only 5 weeks but finding myself very anxious about this.
Thank you if youve taken the time to read this.

I can not guarantee that you arent going to be considered high risk, seeing as you have other issues at hand. But when I got preggo with the current one, it was less than 9 month from the section with my first. I am not deemed high risk, seeing as my body had healed completely from the first, but everyone is different. You can always ask your doc if they are going to make you a high risk patient or not.

That's good to know :) Thanks. Really hoping to try a natural birth as the thought of the adhesion (bladder is stuck to womb) complications really scare me.

Hi

You are usually considered high risk if you have had two or more previous sections. I have had 5, 6th will be in May. Anyway, during section 5 they cut into my bladder. The cut was 2" before they realsied that it was my bladder. My bladder sits slightly higher in my body which is apparently common with repeat surgery in that region. My bladder is firmly attached to the lower segiment of my womb.

I know they are aware that the bladder is attached to my womb and I do risk further damage to it when my next baby is delivered. I am hoping that because they know the situation they will be more cautous.

After my 5th section, they just said that the front wall of my womb was thin and if we wanted more children the surgery/delivery would require very careful planning. My bladder was repaired while I was awake by the surgeon who delivered my Son so apparently that means it wasn't life threatening. Not so sure what the situation will be this time round. Hard not to worry but I am trying really hard not to think about it.

I am almost certain they will say you are high risk, be very surprised if they don't. Depends on your hospital as well. The hospital I am at say if you have had 2 sections, all babies after that also need to be delivered by section. Maybe yours will be different.

Thank you ITS2012. I think I'll be high risk due to my BMI anyway. I made my booking app with the midwife for the 21st, so hoping to discuss it further then. My hospital really push for vbacs so fingers crossed theyll support vba2c. Thanks again. X

You are very welcome. It is reassuring that they push foe vbac. Wish, my hospital did. I literally begged then after my second section, but they refused point blank.

I was tempted to just wait and see what happened with regards to labour but didn't want to put my little one at risk. Hopefully they will allow you to try vbac, be great if you succeed.

Good luck, hope you get the decision you are wanting.

Take care xx

I'm in the same boat (except the attached bladder) 2 sections in 4 years, preg at 9 months after baby no2 I'll def be a section again and high risk due to pre eclampsia and early delivery, I have a lot of scar tissue from the first baby removed but they couldn't use same incision, had to go above the original scar d 'cut it out' so presuming there will be more scar tissue.

I was more concerned that the added pressure of a growing baby would have on a relatively new incision, have my 16 week consultants appt on tue and plan to ask xx
