Well i belong here now. Got a bfp this morning and am soooo happy am only 12dpo and I know is really early days. Am happy beyond any words but am sooo scared.

Did you girls get given extra support from your doctors and any advice from them of anything that you can take or do to try and keep a sticky bean ??? Am going to do a digi on Sunday and go to the doctors on Monday

eeeepppp !!!!

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!! :happydance: Just think positive! This is the one!!!! Now its just on to the next great 9 months! :flower: Everything will be fine!

I've been waiting to see this, and knew it would happen for you! Awesome news!
Advice? what I've done is to take it one day at a time, trying not to notice those milestones (especially the 'this is when I had the miscarriage' milestone!)
I've also found that I am petrified of scans. I've avoided them, and only had one at 8 weeks. I'm seeing my midwife in a different place than the hospital where I lost Aiden. Basically, I've tried to separate myself from the last experience, and hopefully this will be different.
Good luck!

aw :hugs: thanks hun, cant stop smiling and really want to be positive about this pregnancy but am worried that if I do and sometimg goes wrong its going to make everything really hard

Congratulations, honey! :hugs: Whether you're positive about it or not, it's going to be really hard if something goes wrong no matter what. I say to enjoy every single second of it despite the fears.

Oh hunny, I am so over the moon for you! YAY!

I am going to be honest with you - you have some stressful times ahead. I have tried to stay level headed but it is hard but there is so much support here for you we will all get through it. How I am coping is making little milestones. The first was my doctors appointment, the second was my midwife booking in and now the third will be my follow up growth scan... ect. If you think of the whole time it can be too overwhelming.

As for extra care, I am having two early scans but that is due to a threatened miscarriage. Otherwise, I think they generally treat you the same as our risk is no higher than anyone elses of it happening again - don't forget that. My midwife said that all you can do is take your vits, eat a mixed diet and avoid smoking and alcholol. That is everything you can do.

Just have little goals darling, you will get through it and I will be here 110% for you anytime. It is stressful, but this is our chance hunny :hugs: :dust:

congrats on your :bfp: it's great to see so many ladies in here after sadly suffering losses, here's to a worry free and healthy pregnancy xxx

Oh this is fabulous news! Its threads like these that give me hope and make me feel that it will happen for me too!

Try and enjoy your pregnancy hun! The worry will be natural though.

CONGRATULATIONS!

Wohoo Dodders well done mate hope this is it for you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

awwwwwwwww such exciting news!
I found my scans quite tricky but did feel happier after my 20wk one. I wish i had booked a private early scan at 8wks or something as i did find the first 12wks tough-doesnt mean you will though and the small milestone thing sounds really good advice

I try to remind myself every time I get stressed out that I have already been through a miscarriage and come out strong the other side- you are a strong person, and you can get through anything.
This pregnancy has been incredibly different, which might explain why I have found it easy not to worry. I've had awful morning sickness, and no bleeding whatsoever.
The hospitals treat you the same way whether you've had a miscarriage or not. I've been told that I am a low risk pregnancy, and I've had one scan and am only being offered one more.
I'll be praying for you, but I know this is your sticky bean!

am getting a list together to ask the doctor on monday - he is going to think im a nut job ha ha !!!

- Swine flu jab (yes or no - im siding on no at the moment but need to read into it a bit more)
- any extra vitamins or anything that I should take...is my pregnacare original or shall I change to the conception one
-what pains are normal and when do they become something I should worry about - last time I had backache and stomach cramps , not sure if that was a sign

hey hun i had a mmc in 2007 then after 15 months of trying fell pregnant again and had a completely normal pregnancy and gave birth to a little boy last feb. But like you i was terrified i was so sure that it would happen again. The docs gave me an early scan to put my mind at rest and that helped but i only really felt reassured when i could feel the baby move. Hope this helps hun and congratulations!!!

Oh I am so happy for you Mrs Doddy. I know that you were losing all hope but here you are xxx :yipee:

Just take it easy. Real easy. I'm not going to lie to you it will be a long old time till your 12 week scan BUT you have to believe that this time all will be well and this is your time. I can second Toby2's thoughts... I have only just felt more relaxed after my 21 wk scan yesterday (but 2nd trimester is no where near as difficult as the first).

I took extra folic acid, B6 tablet and pregnacare for the first trimester. I was also on baby aspirin but that was on docs orders.

Congratulations, that's lovely news! Only take baby asprin if advised by and monitored by a dr, getting it wrong can cause mc. Omega 3 oils have the same effect as asprin on the blood without the side effects, my nutritionist took me off asprin and put me on "Eskimo 3" fish oils, they're not cheap but they are the purest oils you can buy (you take 3 a day so a bottle of 90 lasts a month). I was told to come off the B vitamins as well as these are not helpful in first tri.
It can be a really stressful time, if you have ANY worries feel free to pm me, I've been there with bells on and if it wasn't for my pm buddy I think I may have lost the plot.
Take care and fingers crossed for a healthy, happy stress free 9 months!:hugs::hugs:
