Well, I am very nervous. I am pregnant again and this time I am 7+5, and since last Saturday I have had on and off brown spotting on the tp when I wipe. I am really scared, but trying to remain hopeful because I have a better feeling this time, but I am still scared. I am feeling really achy, but no cramps or anything.
Have seen a nurse practitioner who believes I do not need an ultrasound even though there is discharge, until when I go and see the OB for the first time. That is about two weeks away on Dec. 3. So until then I guess I will take it day by day. Still have all the symptoms and today the bbs were really heavy and sore.
Wishing the brown discharge would go away.
Anyone else have any positive stories or advice for me? Or even going through something similar.

First of all, congrats! A lot of women have spotting (or even full bleeds) and go on to have healthy pregnancies, but I think it's AWFUL that your NP won't give you a reassurance scan. No need to have you so stressed out for weeks. But to share a personal story, I had some light brown spotting at 17 weeks and freaked out. We had our gender ultrasound a week later (I declined a reassurance scan since we heard HB on Doppler and the gender scan was already less than a week away) and everything was perfectly fine! Knock on wood, it's been 9 weeks since then and she's still healthy and I haven't had anymore spotting.

Good luck on the 3rd!!

Frozen, i know exactly how u feel, i am prego after 2 miscarriages in a row.
My first doc appointment is December 2nd.
we just have to take it day by day.
lets enjoy our pregnancy even though its hard!!
hopefully all goes well!
happy and healthy 9 months
:))))

Frozenseas - I'm also shocked you haven't been offered a scan! No success story as yet but hopefully soon as I also had brown spotting followed by a bit of red blood on monday - a few hours after an internal scan.

The early pregnancy unit said it's common to spot around the 6-7 weeks mark. Still, not very reassuring after a previous mc..... I think the good signs are - you still have symptoms, and the spotting hasn't moved onto full-on bleeding after several days. I know all mc's are different but certainly in mine once the spotting started the bleeding was only a day behind. I think if it does continue though you could try to call around the 8 week mark and tell them how stressful the spotting is and that you'd rather have an earlier scan for reassurance. They could turn you down yes, but they might not if you insist.
