Pregnant after round 4 of donor insemination !

Hey everyone, I hope all are well ! I just found out I'm pregnant a week ago after 4 cycles of using donor sperm on my own natural cycles. We were beginning to get very frustrated when it wasn't working and this was going to be our last try ! It's been difficult predicting ovulation due to my 35 - 37 day cycle but we hit the mark this cycle ! I didn't find the treatment very nice and to be honest it was a bit gross but it worked ! My husband is infertile unfortunately so this was the only way we would get to raise a child together from babyhood ( Ialready have 2 kids aged 10 and 4 who he is a great father figure to). Has anyone else gone through this treatment ? it's very stressful and I would love to hear from anyone else going through the same thing ! good luck to all who are ttc

Hi, congratulations!

I am in a sort of similar situation, we used donor sperm as my husband is also infertile. We tried 2 IUIs which didn't work, & then finally got pregnant through IVF. Turned out that the donor sperm wasn't binding to the eggs so the IUI would probably never have worked. Or it would have taken a long, long time!

We're going down the IUI route. Same situation - DH is infertile. We're desperate to start trying but we are awaiting counseling to work through the obvious issues of coming to terms with using donor sperm.

We're also trying to work out the best time to start everything as we both are training still in demanding jobs and we'd like to try to do this at the best possible time for us and baby.

We did 4 IUI cycles with male factor that didn't work. We got pregnant on our 1st donor cycle at home with meds, but due to various issues honestly don't know whether it's credited to the donor or DH!
