hi, i hope someone can help me. i am currently 18 weeks pregnant and being made redundant from my job due to relocation of the work place. my notice period (4 weeks) will start next week and the company have said they will honour any maternity payments but i am not sure if i am not far gone enough to get them from this company. is that right? i have been employed by the company for a year and 10 months.
thanks in advance, i am so confused! :hugs:

You have to be employed by the company up to the 25th week of pregnancy in order to qualify for them to pay your SMP; however if they have said they will pay it then perhaps they will. If you cannot get SMP from them then you will get maternity allowance no problems.

If thats what they have said then you will get smp from them or there own maturnity package if they have one. If not you will get mat pay which is £123 a week and you can start this from 29 weeks
