DD feeds once a day in the morning normally but now that I'm pregnant I had decided I would wean her after the first tri, as I understand sudden weaning can cause a drop in progesterone which probably isn't good for pregnancy. However three of the last four mornings she's not asked for her milk so I haven't offered. I'd be happy.for her to.wean now if I know it wasn't going to affect my hormones/pregnancy. as I said she only feeds once a day and even then I'm not sure she even gets that much, so it might not be a profound effect. what you do you ladies reckon?

Hey hun,
Congrats on your pregnancy!
I weaned my boy when I was 9 weeks into my second pregnancy. He was 22.5 months at that point and nursed maybe 1-2 times a day. I haven't heard of the progesterone thing and obviously I'm no doctor but my pregnancy wasn't affected by stopping bf'ing. Hth and H&H 9 months :)

It should be fine. Sometimes the pregnancy hormones changes the taste of the milk which may be why she isnt asking for it.
