Hi ladies, I had a miscarriage in December and found out yesterday that I am pregnant again! Yay!
I'm a little worried that I didn't get a period before I got pregnant again. Has anyone else gotten pregnant straight after miscarriage, before AF and everything been ok?

Any happy stories (of not so happy) would be appreciated!
Thanks!

I don't have any experience with it, but looks like its not such a bad thing. :)
Congrats!

Congrats!! Fingers crossed this is your time :hugs:

I didn't have a period but it wasn't through miscarriage - I got my implant out and we were waiting to have a period before actively trying. Well, we had sex once and I got my BFP! So no period. I'd heard lots of horror stories (re after implant, not after miscarriage!) but so far so good

I had a MMC and got pregnant 1/2 weeks after the D&C procedure, I'm now 11 weeks I've had 3 scans and I've got a little wriggler in there!! I'm still hoping and praying things will go well but I've made it this far, I didn't have my AF either. I'm sure you will be just fine, try to enjoy your pregnancy and good luck to you :hugs:

I didn't experience this but I did get pregnant my second cycle after mc (I had one af in between). It's still VERY early for me but I'm having a lot more symptoms this time and no cramping or spotting like last time! I actually was told your chances of having a mc are a lot lower if you get preggo with in the first 3 months of another mc!

Have you confirmed it with an ultrasound or blood test? After my m/c I still got positive home pregnancy tests for over a month :( or did you get negative ones first then a positive after?

I pray that this little one grows and is healthy, so in 9 months you can hold your little baby in your arms!

I fell pregnant with my DD immediately after my MC with no AF in between so it can happen and pregnancy can be successful.

Talk to your doctor to confirm it is in fact a new pregnancy and not a twin from previous one (they checked me out for this) so you know where you are.

Good luck and hope everything goes well for you

Hi missy, I got negative tests after my miscarriage. Tested at 10dpo and got a negative, tested at 12dpo and got a positive :) no bloods yet. Have a docs appt on Tuesday

Thanks for the reply :) xxxx

Thanks everyone! That has made me feel aloft better :) I'm having bloods done next Tuesday when I see the doc so we will see what that shows

Excited!!! And scared

Xxxxxx

I've no help but just wanted to say congrats and hope you have a great pregnancy!

Aww thanks love cakes :) sweet of you. Hope your pregnancy is going smoothly!!! Xx

I had a miscarriage in December and got my Bfp almost two weeks ago. No af in between. I'm really nervous too and had a rocky start my hcg only rose by 5 the first test then after that it almost tripled so yay! I'm terrified honestly but we've just got to take it a day at a time. I'm so nervous about the first scan and I'm a crazy knicker checker. From what I've read there are absolutely no more risks if you get pregnant straight after a mc. H and h 9 months. Xx

I did, I went on to have a perfectly healthy pregnancy and a perfectly healthy baby girl. There's no evidence to prove you have to let your body rest after an MC :)

Congrats!

We waited a few cycles after my mc due to timing, but my doctor told me we could start trying as soon as we felt ready. An ER doc that I saw due to bleeding for 6 weeks post my mc told me to wait at least one cycle for dating reasons! Aka so it would be more convienent for health care professionals if something is awry! Terrible to put off life's plan for the convienence of medical staff!

I miscarried on the 29th Sept and got my BFP on the 23rd Oct  Everything is going just fine, I can't say that I haven't been a bag of nerves because I have :hugs:

Yay!! That's so exciting! You are in exactly the same situation as me. I know about the knicker checking too!! I'm not seeing the doc til Tuesday and the wait to get bloods feels like forever. But like you, i decided to take it a day at a time. I can't do anything about the outcome, so will just wait and see

H&h 9 months to you too!

Oh yay! :happydance:
That's exciting, you must be past the 12 weeks now? Or I'm adding it up wrong. Glad to see it worked out for you, I am feeling so much more hopeful

I think I may be in the same boat as you. I had a d&c on December 16th. I ovulated last Tuesday so I am 8 dpo today. I got a super faint line on a hpt today so hopefully it will be darker tomorrow. My doctor has delivered over 7,000 babies, he specializes in high risk and is a fertility specialist and he told me to go a head and try as soon as I felt ready and that there is nothing to suggest waiting or not waiting after a miscarriage causes complications. Happy and healthy 9 months. I will keep you posted if you would like.

I'm just over 17 weeks  Good luck, and try to relax but I know that is easier said than done :hugs:

A few years ago I had a m/c then got pregnant right after with my twins :) my doctor didnt even believe I was pregnant again so soon after.
I worried the entire time but they are happy healthy 20 month olds now :)
