Hi everyone,
DH and I have been TTC number 3 for 7 cycles now. I just knew something was wrong because we conceived both or kids really easily. In December I had an early miscarriage. My GP did blood tests and although my AMH was 5.6 he said that was no problem and he knew women who has 0.3 (but he did not say wether they had conceived!).
Fortunately we have private health insurance so I saw a consultant for a smear test and mentioned the issues we were having. She was also very dismissive because of my age (35) but she did refer me to another Doctor. One month later I was seen and he confirmed my fears. My ovaries are older than they are supposed to be. He tracked my cycle and when I didn't ovulate around the time expected he gave me an HCG shot. I got the positive ovulation test the next day. Started progesterone 2 days later. Sadly I got my period. I was supposed to start clomid the following cycle unfortunately my Dr did not send me my prescription on time so he asked me to come back next cycle.
Frustrated and anxious I went to another Dr for a second opinion last night and he confirmed that it was even worse than I thought. My ovaries look like those of a 41 year old woman. My body wants to go through menopause. He gave me a blood test and I will be going back next week for the results. He wants to induce a period and start me on clomid. If I am not taking well to it then he is going to use injections.
I just wish I had trusted my gut instinct earlier that something was wrong. I wish I had gotten checked out 5 months ago.
Anyway sorry for the loooooong intro I just wanted to say hello
