Hi all :D
I'm so glad to finally be able to post in baby club!

I didn't think anything of this until recently but thought there's no harm in being curious, has anyone ever felt a pressure feeling in their bits when they stand after sitting for a while? I had my little girl 9 days ago and for the last few days or so when I've got up off the sofa it feels like I have a bit of heaviness in my vagina. It goes after I waddle off for a few seconds but I've heard it could be a potential prolapse.

I had a 2nd degree tear with stitches and have managed that first BM (wasn't sure if it might have been related?) so not sure what it might be. If anyone else had this and found out what it was I'd be grateful for suggestions!
Thank you :)

Yes! I feels like I've got weights hanging from it and all my organs are going to fall out. Think it could just be a combination of swelling from the stitches and trauma to your pelvic floor. I'm now 17 days PP and it's pretty much gone unless I've been on my feet for a long time.

Ah I hope so! A prolapse isn't desirable :( But I'm glad someone else knows what I'm on about & it's not me going crazy :haha:

I had this really bad after my first for quite a long time. The good news is that after many months it entirely went away! Definitely agree that it is trauma to your pelvic floor from labour and delivery that causes it. Eventually it will disappear!

Yes me, I had it when I sat for too long and when I went to the toilet. I'm 3 weeks pp and its gone now. I put it down to everything moving back down. Remember to do your pelvic floor exercises x

Ah thank you girls! I'm glad it's a common thing :)

I don't notice it so much now so maybe it's starting to go away, so glad!!
