preterm labour and bed rest

Hi everyone, I haven't posted in here since my daughter was born over 4 years ago.
I received a lot of support from this forum and so I decided to come back

Since my daughter was born 4 years ago, I have suffered several miscarriages and am now pregnant with my second baby. I'm just 24 weeks, but 10 days ago I was having contractions and told that my cervix was closed but soft. So bed rest it is for me.
10 days in and I have had enough already so I'm hoping to have some company on here and feel less lonely. Looks like others are in a similar situation

for those members who are on bed rest, what do you do for entertainment? Obviously lying down imposes quite a lot of limitations!

I look forward to being an active member once again!

Hi i had to go to the hospital yesterday for contractions that were too often and too strong. I am 26+6. They hooked me up to the monitor and gave me exams etc. My cervix was also still closed (thank goodness!). I got a shot of terbutaline and sent home to bed. My next appointment is in a little under 2 weeks.

I haven't been on rest long (and I can go to the sofa or take a quick shower) but I'm planning on reading, coming on here, and watching tv...lol. all of which will get old. I will also be crocheting a blanket for baby.

Here's to hoping our wee ones stay put for now!
