Hello fabulous ladies!

I hope you don't mind me asking a few questions?

So me and my OH have been LTTTC for 3.5 years now, we first went to the fertility clinic back in 2013 where we were told I had a Prolactinoma tumour causing me to produce too much prolactin. I went away from that having various tests, MRI scans and my OH having his sperm tested, he was found to have LOW COUNT & LOW MORPHOLOGY!

Since February 2016 my prolactin levels have show down perfectly to a normal range! :happydance:

However my OH had his sperm tests done again in April & May and they haven't changed much since the first ones in 2013. He cant have a better diet, he's a fitness freak and he is so healthy I couldn't believe it when they said how his sperm was!

Anywho, I'm babbling, as per!

We have our first re referal appointment back at the fertility clinic on 1st September (1 week to go!!) since this will not be my first appointment there I'm hoping it will be our appointment to discuss our schedule and what treatment we will be receiving. I would also like to say, this appointment is not with one of the nurses, nor a standard doctor but the clinics head specialist! I had to book my appointment through his secretary because he specifically wanted to see me! I'm hoping its because he wants to help us get this baby making on the way as soon as possible!

I would just like to ask how your appointments went, who you saw, how long before treatment started and how many tries before success if you've already got pregnant :)

I would also like to add I'm having my treatment at OCEAN SUITE, Derriford. If anyone else is also having treatment there I would love to know how long waiting times were, how your appointments went/are going ect ect.

Thank You, to everyone who has read this far and hasn't given up

Baby dust to all, may you all be blessed with your miracle baby soon! :baby:

xxxxxx

Hi, Sorry I can't help you with any of your questions unfortunately as I have not cycled at that clinic but I wanted to offer some advice on your DH sperm count.

My DH has the same issues, he was taking male conception tablets, has a good diet, exercises, does not smoke and rarely drinks alcohol (tee total for a long time while we were cycling) and we couldn't improve it. My latest clinic asked him to 'clean his pipes' on a regular basis and not to let it build up. Try every other day or every 3 days at the most and this really helped. His count remained the same but most importantly his morphology and mobility really improved. You can help him with this or he can do it by himself, my DH ended up seeing this has part of the cycle and just got on with it. He started probably about 4 weeks before EC.

I don't know if this was the reason for the improvement but it's definitely worth a try.

Great news your prolactin levels are normal and Good Luck with everything.

Hi, hun! I know how it feels. We had 3 such apps before we found ourselves in Ukraine for our final shot. We found the place on eviternity.org International patient coordinator. Our 1st app with the expert was conducted in London absolutely for free! We just met with Josephine and discussed all the questions from our long list ;) Then in a couple of weeks we signed the contract with Biotexcom. They sent us the list of the required documents. These were transvaginal ultrasound check results. Breast ultrasound check results (as I was 39 yo and never had any breast problems). Chest X-ray (for both me and my husband). Doctor's certificate that I was healthy enough to carry out a baby and that pregnancy was not prohibited for me. Also sperm count.
Then we both came to the clinic to undergo the required tests (blood tests for both, pap smear, sperm count). The doctor studied medical records, performed transvaginal ultrasound check and evaluated our chances to successfully accomplish the program. He explained us the treatment plan. Also they gave us the medications needed for my subsequent stimulation protocol.
In such a way we booked 5 shots, all meds and selective reduction for 9900 euro. In case of 5 failures they refund ALL money paid.
We are in different places but I believe the 1st app is conducted practically the same. Wish you good luck and baby dust soon xx
