Pretty much down to these two can you ladies help?

Hi ladies, i posted over on the name forum to see what was thought of the name Ashlynn :flower: I reeeeaaally like it and so does OH BUT ..... he prefers Elle short for Ellen after a family member. Im not keen on Ellen but i do love Elle id like spelt Ellie......now im so torn i love the fact Ellie is short and sweet but i also love the Fact Ashlynn isnt that common

Im relieved we have managed to narrow it down to only a couple of names cause theres obviously soooooooo many

I know we will prob know 100% once shes born but just wanted to know what the general consensus is between these 2 names :help:

What I did with both of my other kids was have several names in mind before I had them and then make the final decision once I saw them... with my son, the name we liked best fit him perfect.. with my daughter, it didn't at all and we went with another choice. Sometimes the names we get set on just don't fit them at all once we see what they look like. We ended up with Eric Christian and Lydia Karsyn. Took tons of correcting people to get them to NOT call my daughter "Liddy" which I didn't like but now no one even tries and Lydia is sooo perfect for her. I think our first choice for her was Madison but after seeing her I couldn't imagine calling her that at all.

It doesn't matter what you name your kid, other kids will find a way to pick on her. I can just as easily see kids calling Ashlynn "Ass lint" as Ellie "Smelly Ellie", etc. Learning how to deal with getting picked on is part of growing up.

Your right enough kids will always find a way to pick on other kids if they want to! but i was more asking what name out the 2 people liked?
what youv said is true enough though but do you have a preference for either name?

i cant see what people put on the polls

xx

Ah, well I did vote already. I like Ellie better because I don't like Ashlynn at all. Sounds like another one of those made up names where people combine two names into one. Obviously from my previous sentence, I'm not a fan of that. Though after googling it I see it is a real name, but not till the 2nd google page as the first page is all Ashlynn Brooke some kind of porn star or something.

a child will find a way to pick on another child weather it be about their name the colour of their hair or just the shoes their parents can afford.
Trust me I should know. Anna spanner, the girl with the spots, the girl who's parents couldn't afford to send her on school trips so she was the only one left while all her friends went off.
It's a cruel world a name counts for nothing!
