You're not wrong about something needing to be done, it's grossly unfair and just plain ridiculous to make women wait until the age their fertility declines naturally, thereby reducing their chances of succesful treatment.
The thing is - I can't see many people being brave enough to reveal all they are going through to the entire world in order to challenge it publicly. It's just plain plain wrong.

I completely understand you wanting to find out though. It's good to know what the situation is to form a back up plan. Now we know this, we've started thinking about how we can save to make sure we have some funds available to go down the IVF route if we need to. I find it calms me down a bit just knowing what the next step would be if we were unlucky enough to need to take it.
