Progesterone 7dpo test?

So next Friday I meet with my fertility provider (I see a NFP only physician assistant with many credentials). Next Tues/Wed is my 7dpo. I'm on progesterone supplements. The last cycle (nod now this one) I've felt different after O. Last cycle nausea and very sore breasts. This cycle sore breasts and constant hunger. In the past I have never seen any change in anything.

Should I ask for a progesterone test to see if it's gotten better?

To me it seems that my levels have increased drastically. I don't like messing with hormones at all. My levels were low (I think around 10 she wanted it closer to 15). With the suppositories it went up closer to 12 (I think).

Anything I should ask about? She does suspect I have endo. I also have very very low estrogen (which the hope was increasing progesterone would increase the estrogen).

Thanks!

Never hurts to check to determine where you are. It's best to give a month on supplements before testing.

Which progesterone supplements are you on? I'm on a "bio-identical" progesterone that is compounded for me. I was at 6.7 on my previous blood draw (February/March). This month it was 19.1. So, I saw a huge improvement.

Sounds to me like your NFP practitioner is using some of the NaPro ideas. My doc does as well (his wife is my NFP contact).

Yes she is a NaPro practitioner.

It is bio identical progesterone suppositories (the only ones I would agree to). I've been taking it on and off for 2years (either I would forget, or was trying to detox body to take a different test). But I've been on it this time for 2 cycles starting my third.

Maybe I'll wait since this is only my third back on.

I'm glad to see someone else doing the same thing I am. Warms my heart, in fact. :-D Glad to have met you!

Do you get nausea with the progesterone? I'm on my third dose (200mg at bedtime) and can't think about eating. Not to mention very dizzy. I'm glad I go in Friday. This is what happened last month. I forgot how crappy I felt.

I only put it in at night, just before bed.

It makes me very sleepy but I've never really felt sick or dizzy from it that I've noticed. Now this past month I did get mild nausea but I blamed it on a backseat car ride after eating a rich breakfast then getting in a plane.

I am just lurking around and read this, and saw the NaPro - seriously, I was starting to think no one else used that program!!!!! It works! I'm so glad to see other people following it!

I would definitely ask about the progesterone at your next appointment, it can't hurt!

I am going to bring it up for sure. NaPro is the only thing I feel comfortable doing.

I don't know the difference. I did google it and it does look like they do the same job. Prometrium looks cheaper than the endometrium. Promethium is easier to insert. Both are icky messes. Promethium is peanut oil on it so could be allergy related as well.

Can you ask why not promethium? I take bio identical progesterone 200mg nightly which is prometrium.

I do the pharmacy compounded version of progesterone (my Rx just says compounded progesterone...no other name). It's a bullet-shaped white vaginal suppository. It's all I've done...and it is working.

My numbers have improved significantly after just 1 complete month of treatment (200mg, once a day at bedtime). I don't really get "messy" with it, but I wear a liner to bed. I can see the oils from the suppository in the toilet each morning I use it, but other than that, it hasn't been too bad. I expected much worse.

My NaPro Practitioner (and her husband who is my GP) tell me to start it on Peak +4. Yours may tell you something different based on your cycle.

Mine was peak +3, so the peak +3/4 area is probably the norm

I started Creighton tracking yesterday. We went to the class. So we are taking the month off. I wasn't expecting this. But if it helps our chances later I'll take it. It's not like I really had a chance this month anyways.

We probably won't start NaPro technology stuff until after my lap in March. (I'm hoping my lap will be in March at least).
