Hi hi. 31, PCOS, and a heavy honey as well! I've definitely had my share of progesterone induced AF's and Clomid cycles. Here's the info you need to know:
First off, definitely don't start the Clomid until the day your doctor said to take it in your new cycle. Taking it now would be a really bad idea. You are likely going to start your period in a few days and your body will end up all screwed up if you've been taking Clomid.
Your doctor probably didn't explain to you how progesterone works. The reason you're not bleeding yet is that you're not supposed to be. With progesterone, you're supposed to get AF 2-7 days AFTER you take your last dose. The reason they use progesterone is because progesterone is what you body makes after you ovulate. When you don't get pregnant, your body stops producing progesterone and that makes you get your period a few days later. If you do get pregnant, your body keeps making progesterone so that you don't get your period. So by giving you 10 days of progesterone and then stopping, it makes your body think you ovulated, didn't get pregnant, and now it's time to clean house. Does that make sense? It's an induced luteal phase.
So you shouldn't have AF yet. You SHOULD have AF by a week form now. If not, you have to do a higher dose of progesterone for another 10 days. You can't start Clomid until you've had AF.
(If your doctor is telling you something else, like counting last pill as day 1, I'd say call in and confirm that they really mean that if you still don't have bleeding by the day you're supposed to start Clomid. I've been through the wringer with IF treatments, and I have never ever heard of a doctor calling the last day of progesterone Day 1. If that's how they do it at that practice, I'd honestly go somewhere else. There is always a chance that the progesterone won't be enough to cause AF for you and taking Clomid "mid-cycle" is a no go if you've taken progesterone but not bled. No research at all supports doing that, at least as far as I know!)
Good luck!
