progesterone and symptoms

Hi I'm hoping someone can help me.....

I have taken prog supps for 3 cycles now....this one being my fourth.....I am 13 dpo todayand since yesterday it seems my prog supps symptoms have increased. Shouldn't they decrease and AF come?

I mean, usually my boobs soreness subsides and hunger isn't as bad then my tiredness gets better and then AF comes. Doesnt that sound right? Instead it is going in the opposite direction and I feel run over by a truck....oh and I have had a sore throat for about 5 days.

Can anyone tell me their experience, do your symptoms lessen later in the tww or do they get worse before AF?

Also, I did test today and it was BFN.

I'm not much help but i figured i would respond. I have only taken it for the first time last cycle. I noticed alot of breast tenderness and general fatigue throughout the entire tww, so idk. I'm taking it again after i ovulate this cycle so i will be able to compare. Hopefully you get good news in a few days. did you use a FRER test?

A bfp you could feel exactly like that. I got so stuffed up I couldn't breath through my nose for a week, tired, sick, and when i managed to clear sinuses after a hot shower, I'd sneeze every 5 minutes, took 2 days off work. Wrenched my back sneezing so hard and decided to waste another hpt while running into the w/r for a roll of tissue. The darn thing came out positive. I started wailing, I couldn't believe it and was in such a poopy state I just went into shock. Pregnancy feels like crap when it falls on you, but I'm certainly not complaining. Just keep testing chickie!

Thanks ladies....I used an Answer early response test. I am going to buy another kind today and test in the morning. I will see comes of it and let you know. I really do hope it is a bfp cuz then I will welcome this really crappy feeling but if it isn't then this progesterone is horrible!!!!!

Ive been taking progesterone to bring on my af and its cd33 and she hasn't showed and ive been having a sore throat...and stuffy nose and running nose...I feel like I need to drink all the time cuz my throat feels so dry...ive been peeing like crazy probably from the water...but still...I bought some real hpts today at walmart...so maybe a bfp will surprise me...doubt it but I can still hope

No but I just stopped the progesterone and it takes almost days for AF to come once I stop......so I am waiting.

My last dose was yesterday...so your suppose to start af after stopping the pills? They never told me...

Yeah depending on how you metabolise the pills.....your AF can start anywhere from1-6 days after. I was doing the suppository form vaginally and in the past AF has come between 4-6 days after the last pill.

Hi I just came across this thread. I can't give much information on progesterone but I just started taking it. My doc told me to start it on cd21 and take it until I got my period. I see you've stopped taking yours and you said it can take a few days for AF to start. Did your doc tell you how long to take the progesterone? I'm concerned if I wait it out and keep taking it that AF won't show. Also I see you temp. Did you temp before you started progesterone? I was just wondering if your charts were different before you started it. My chart is different this month and I don't know if it is just from the progesterone.

yes my chart was a bit different.....I was told by my dr to test for pg on 14 dpo and if you dont get a positive then stop the progesterone and your af should start within 4-6 days. Some women will get their af while on progesterone but I wasnt one of them. That is a nice temp spike you got today! I would test tomorrow and if you get a bfp then continue on your progesterone. Regardless, I would call your dr as they will want to take more bloodwork and see if you need to continue on the progesterone or not.

I'll call my doc maybe 15dpo if no AF or positive. I have no idea what happened with my temp this morning. The heat wasn't on any higher I used the same amount of blankets. I can only attribute it to the progesterone. All my tests so far have been stark white but I guess I'll keep testing.

Yeah I would call them either way, they might want to do a beta just to confirm no pg.

My symptoms typically get worse the closer I get to AF pregnant or not.
and being on progesterone will make the symptoms stronger.
