Progesterone Levels

Hi guys,

Hoping someone can help me, I had a day 23 progesterone level done they decided day 23 as my cycles are around 30-31 days, my result was 30.9 which the receptionist that gave me the result just said that's fine but when I asked was it borderline or good she just said, doctor said it is ok.

Are they supposed to check your progesterone 7 days after ovulation as I was only 3dpo at this point as I only ovulated on cycle day 20, just dont know what to think, or should I make an appointment with doctor and go and discuss it with them?

I was told today that normal is between 5 and 80. Sounds daft to me but mine was 58 on day 7. It sounds like you have ovulated Hun. X

i dint want to read and run i honestly dont know because iv never been tested for anything like that but i seriously think you shud do what your thinking about booking into the doctors asap and discussing it with your doctor if you have any concerns im sure your doctor would be able to advize you much better and at least you know for your own piece of mind im sorry iv not been much help but go with your gutt instinct and do what you think is right best of luckk i sincerly hope you find your answer all the best and lots of GOOD LUCK!!!

Just googled it and you have ovulated. Above 16 and you are fine. X

I asked for a print out of my result for the progesterone and it says luteal range should be 30 and over. Mines was 30 but would that not be considered borderline?

I'm concerned cause the two miscarriages I have had started with spotting and im worried that I cant sustain pregnancy

I don't know much about this but I think it's all relative to what dpo you are. You will reach a progesterone peak at 7dpo and then it will drop if your not pregnant. So your prog level could be higher than 30 at 7dpo because you were tested at 3dpo.

Thanks Katie, I thought it was 7 days before your period was due, that's twice now they have done the test 3dpo, first was a day 21 and the next cycle they did it day 23, but the first cycle I only ovulated on day 18 then the next cycle I ovulated day 20 so its been 3dpo both times, so maybe I would be ok if its 4 days early
