progesterone shots or gel?

Should I have the shots which I believe are painful or the gel after egg collection - doc said I can decide. Are the shots better? Anyone any experience of the two?

i just had my first progesterone shot a few days ago - the first few were not so pleasant. i was standing for the first 3 shots and i kept tensing up knowing what was coming! seemed like that made it worse...now i have tried lying down on the bed - feet hanging over the edge pointed pigeon toed and it was so much better...no worse than giving blood i think i am finally relaxing and my DH is getting better 4 shots in too...hope that helps. i am not familiar with the gel at all so i can't say much on that....

Had my 1st but shot by the nurse today after EC. I was lying on my side and it was nowhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be

I hate the shots, but I think they are the best way to go. I am very petite, so it kills my back/bum, but I think it is worth it... I am on the shots and suppositories... I have a double dose of progesterone. Good Luck!
