progesterone test...what does this mean?

Hello ladies..this is my first post on here but I am soo happy that I found this website I have been ttc for about four months now and I am currently on metformin, thyroid med. For underactive thyroid and I just had my first cycle with 50mg of clomid cycle days 5-9. This past Tuesday was cycle day 20 and my doc ordered a progesterone test to see if I ovulated. My doctor has not called me yet because the results just came in today and his office closed early..however, I received my results and my level showed to be 5.43....what does this mean?? I have not ovulated or had a period on my own in over three years so I feel so discouraged like this will never happen for me..thank you ladies.
