Prom/formal

I have my formal (same as prom) in november. By then i will be 6 months pregnant. But i need to get my dress! Any recommendations on how to go about this? Does anyone know a rough idea of how much bigger you should get in 3 months? Help!
Also if you have/had a prom/formal whilst being pregnant i'd love to see photos of you and your dresses

I wasn't pregnant during my prom, but I knew a girl that was like 8 months pregnant & she looked amazing!!! She looked better than some of the other girls. She had a long nice yellow dress, snugged her upper half. She literally turned heads...I hope your as lucky as she was!!! I hope you post pics up too!!

I'd go with a nice flowy one if you don't want your bump showing to much but if you'd like to show it off go with a more form fitting one.

wear a flowy empire waist. that way it doesnt matter how big you are you will always fit into it.

something flowy definitely although i'd leave it until a few weeks before (if possible) just in case your LO has a huge growth spurt in the next few months x

Maxi dresses are perfect... and will look stunning with your bump i'd go for one of them... and they accommodate your growing bump x

I didn't go to my prom but I ws 7 months pregnant on my wedding day, I just had a tight bodice and a very puffy skirt, it hid Lanie really well

Hi kate, i just had my formal last week, 9 weeks pregnant, not a huge bump but still noticeable and my family didn no about my prgnancy yet so i walked around all night holdin in my belly for pics! i was gutted i could not drink as i had being lookin so forward to prom the past year. i wore a long straight dress., in november i was be 6 months gone and i have my brothers wedding, il face the same dilema as you!

If you want to buy one that is form fitting you should probably wait until the month before atleast and leave some room. Everyone is so different and grow at different rates so you really never know how big/small you are gonna be. I think I'd go with a flowy dress so I didnt have to worry about it! good luck.

I went to my prom about....5 months pregnant I think, and when I went shopping for my dress I just bought one that made my boobs look awesome, and that had plenty of room for a growing belly! (That way, you have room for LO, and you're boobs will look good enough to distract people away from your belly! ) =]

Thanks for the replies. Im definitely thinking i will go with something flowy. Just still a bit nervous that i might still grow too much! Hopefully bub cooperates.

Mommygrim- i would love to see photos that sounds like a good plan.

Mayb_baby- wow! You have an amazing bump for 22 weeks! Im definitely going to need to get an extra roomy dress if im to expect my bump to grow that much. I will be 1 day off 27 weeks at my formal!
