I'm fairly decided on a section.
Due to my history and my sons.
I'm gonna be totally upbeat and want to look on all the good points.
When u hve to hve a section :)

U know ur date.
U don't go overdue.
Ds is easier to organise to be minded
No labour pain ( hopefully ) and no long drawn out labour with section threatened all the time ( 2 days :))
No vjj stitches :)

There must be more
Any ideas ladies :)

Baby comes out with a pretty shaped head!

Ha ha.
That too :)

How r u recovering? Xx

I'm fine thanks! Was my most complicated section but I recovered the best I think, I felt back to my normal self within a week which I know is lucky. Have no choice with other kids anyway as had to get back to driving etc etc.

Hope it all goes smoothly for you xxx

Thanks hon.
That's great to hear ur recovering well.
For your sake and mine :)
Great to hear good recovery stories.
Hope u continue to get better fast hon xxx

With my section scheduled for tomorrow I sure hope I'm following your recovery and feeling better within a week! Well done you :)

Best of luck caz xxx

My sil had a c section 3 days ago
She is coming out tomorrow.
And doing very well.

Hope we follow both your leads xxx

No swollen bits? Can sit without a comfortably without a pillow.

If you're in public hospital you get a private room (in Australia anyway!)

Also may get a little more help/assistance than a normal birth.

I'm thinking of booking mine on a Friday (convenient for hubbies work as he's the least busy), and then you've got the weekend straight after.

Thanks Mrs r
Was hoping I might get a private room alright
But prob depends on how many in at the time
I'm gonna try persuade them for a Friday too
I'll be 38 and 6
They don't like to do it before 39
So they might make me wait till the Mon.
But I can try :)
Trying to get myself alright before Xmas again :)

I have another benefit....pictures. You don't have any of those pictures when you first hold the baby and you look like total crap after being in labor for hours.

We also went out and had a date night the night before going in for the section. We told them we were having a baby and they give us a free desert.

And not feeling like a zombie after two day labour looking after your new born :)

I would think that you get more help if you have a section. Not only have you given birth, you are recovering from surgery also. You deserve all the rest you can get.

So long as bub stays put till then :)

Hey ladies.
I found out today that I've got to have a section as my first twin is breech. I'm booked in for Monday and I am petrified. Nice to see some positives here though xx

Its not nice when u first find out
Hugs.
Took me ages to decide if I would hve section.
But once decided I started to look for the good bits :)
Hope it all goes really well for u
And recovery is great
Let us know how u get on xx
I imagine ill be nervous again the few days before it
But for now its all ok in my head :)
Labour isn't exactly a fun time.
I wont be missing all the pain and uncertainty :)
Especially since first time didn't go so well for me.
This way we get healthy bubs , faster with no pain during it :)
Best of luck lolli

Thank you lilesmom. It's been reassuring reading lots of positives and I think you're right! Labour is horrible but as you don't kbow when it'll happen, it takes the anxiety away. My hospital said I should be well enough to go home the next day as long as there's no complications. Hoping it goes smoothly. I'm glad I'm having an elective and not emergency which is a plus side and having ds at home means I can plan who he's with and explain things etc so hopefully a section will make it easier for him too. Xx

That's great,
Only a one night stay.
Here I think its automatically 4 nights
But I've known people who feel good who get to go home after 2 or 3
Would be nice to not be away from home long
They seem to be wanting u up and moving much faster now
They reckon its good for muscle recovery
Which is great :)
Hospitals r so hard to get any sleep in

Are u all set for your twins?
There is something amazing about twins I think.
Hard work id imagine but soo worth it
Hope u hve some help lined up at home hon xx
Ur little boy is at a good age now to help too x

@Lollipopbop WOW you are going home after one night. I couldn't imagine that.

My first lo was breech and I had to have a section. My next one I am choosing to have a section.
