Ok girls so I no 'they say' you're more fertile right after havin a baby. But how likely are you to fall preggo again using the pull out method?

Me n oh have DTD a few times now n he pulls out but thinks he didn't pull out in time the other night. What are the chances?

No-one will be able to give you a percentage but there's a good chance you're pregnant. Only a test will tell you. Hope you get the result you want!

Ya never know hun... my hubby and I discussed just tracking my cycle. As we worked VERY hard to conceive our first LO- and really, what are the odds right? But after discussing with my OB at my 6wk post checkup- she suggested the pill since she has personally seen (more than 1) woman come in prego after it took years to conceive baby#1 and baby #2 was an "accident"... LOL.

It can and does happen... no one can really tell ya the odds. Just depends on when you ovulated, how "much" got up in there etc... only time will tell hun.

I have done hours of searching, and I have yet to find any research proving that you are more fertile after giving birth. I don't believe it.

That said, after giving birth, you will possibly ovulate before your first postpartum period, and you won't know when that will be.

From what I have read, the pull out method can be very effective, as long as your OH knows when to pull out, and as long as he urinates between sessions.

I would be that you're not pregnant, unless he pulled out too late, or didn't go to the bathroom between BD'ing.

I got pregnant 7 days into my cycle with the pull out method....

Me and my OH have been DTD since 3 weeks after my LO was born and we dont use any contraception/pull out method nothing at all and he cums inside me and I havent got pregnant and we DTD loads!! :flow:

We used the 'pull out' method for 3 years
When we started actively TTC we got our BFP three weeks later :)
Although if he thinks he pulled out too late then that will not be effective at all! It will completely depend in when you ovulate which is hard to know after having a baby.
Are you bf'ing? If so there will be less chance of you getting 'caught' so to speak

Are you EBF? Just curious. Are you trying to have another LO? :hugs:

There is always a chance with the pull out method if your OH doesnt have FULL control, there is pre come when they get very close remember!

Do a test in a few weeks hun, its the only way you will know x

Well I will say that the pull out method worked for us.. and I'm sure does work if done 100% right.
We went the first 6 years of our marriage using this method.. and then it took us one week to get pregnant once we started trying.. so as long as he has perfect control.. you should be good. But we didn't have any "oops" in there either. We also didn't time around when I was ovulating or anything- as long as it was out, there's nothing to worry about.

Pull out method is not very reliable there is pre come before the actual event. There is a fair chance you are but only a test will tell hun xxxxxxxxxxxxx

 Yes I am EBF :flower: We are NTNP so if it happens then it happens and I would be happy :flower:

U ovalate shortly after birth I think is what they mean

We first DTD 3 weeks PP n prettys ure i had a PP period too as it went diffrent to te liquor bleeding n it was heavy, bright red n passing clots. Ive been gettin 'wet' too so mybe thinkin ive ovulated sometime in the last few days. God i hope we didnt get caught out lol. it took us 19 months to conceive this LO so i assume i wont get preggo very easily again!

Ill probly do a test in a week or so, see what it says as ive no idea when ill have another period as they werent regular before i got PG

ok i told my friend this....even if he pulls out you can still get preggo...there is something called pre cum (sorry tmi) that comes out before he..u know lol and this contains sperm xxx

i think it does work as long as you track your cycle for a while first. problem is lie with me, one month i can be 28 days, the next i can be 31/32. i always thought i was 28 days unti last month when it was longer then i started to worry as we have been using this method. so i need to be extra careful now. we wont be doing anything for a good long period before and after the time i expect to ovulate. but we dont DD that often anyway, much to OH discontent. lol. so we just do it just after my period and just before. that way im pretty certain it shouldnt be a problem!

There has been research in the past that shows that it is effective up to a point - but not to be practised unless you could handle the consequences if it went wrong I think...
See link below (how effective is withdrawal):

There is not precum in sperm unless it's leftover. There are a ton of interesting articles about this online.

My husband and I used the pullout method for our entire relationship so far. Guess what? No babies until we actually tried to have one, which was only one cycle of trying. This method DOES WORK if your husband knows what he's doing. I'm getting a copper iud this time though because I don't want anymore kids but I like being able to have real sex without the other forms of birth control or pulling out. Also, even if your breastfeeding exclusively u can still become fertile. This was a warning that both my doctor and lactation specialist gave me.

So as long as done correctly its pretty safe? Hes not sure he pulled out in time but lets face it it must be annoyin to get right to the end, stop, pull out n finish off :haha: bless men LOL

so now i wait n see wot happens in a week or so...
