question about fertile days according to my chart

So I have been recording only some of the factors on the fertilityfriends online chart (I wasn't aware of the temperature monitoring soon enough to try it this month)

My Ovulation Chart

that's my chart. now, i'm a little confused and i can't post on fertility friends website forum without being a VIP member so i was hoping you guys here could maybe help me out?

(EDIT/ADDED: okay, so i didn't realize that link just shows the graph, not the chart. when i mention below the forecasted days, it's the days with the box outlined in green, and best conception chance days (from pos opk) it's the boxes that are dark green.. for those that use the website and know what im talking about.)

my cycle is usually 24-25 days long, which is know is relatively shorter than average. But the chart says that my "forecasted" fertile days literally start two days after my AF ends. How do they figure that? I'll be honest, I always thought that was the safest time to have 'non baby making unprotected sex' cause your body couldn't have possibly recovered and geared up and released another egg that soon...

regardless, my bf and i did start BDing early - on CD 5, 9, 10 and 11 (if you can't see that on the chart). My AF this month only lasted 4 days, with one day of what i guess i'd call spotting, CD 5 (only when i wiped after using loo) which is sort of unusual for me, as usually i have 6 days of heavy/moderate flow and the 7th is spotting.

but anyway, the chart forecasted my ovulation date as occurring on CD 10 and my most fertile days as being CD7 to 10.

Which ya know, would be awesome if it ended up being accurate, since my BD timing would have been perfect. Only, i took an OPK test on CD 11 around 3pm(only just found out about them, would of started taken them earlier) and it was definitely positive. (and i took three more, one later in the day, and one the next two days and they were all negative).

So my chart suddenly says that my fertile/best conception chances are actually CD 11,12 and 13. again, my bf and I bd'd on the 11th, but due to his work schedule we aren't able to try again until tomorrow at earliest (cd 14) which i'm assuming is way too late anyway.

but my question is, which should i trust? should i trust the forecasted dates that said my most fertile days were 7-10? or the dates it tells me as a result of my entering the positive opk? (11-13)

if it helps, i did record what i believe were ovulation pains on CD 10 and 11 (but i know that's not a reliable symptom/sign) and the only day i really noticed any significant EWCM was CD11 (but since i'd DTD the night before, i don't know if i was mistaking it for seminal fluid?)

so yeah, i'm just really confused right now. this is only my second month TTC and first time using a chart like this. ive been doing research on dates and averages but since my cycle is shorter than what most sites talk about (28 days) it's hard to compare.

Sorry for giant wall of text! I hope someone is able to make sense of what i was trying to say/ask and has the time to help ease my confusion and curiosity.

Maybe to summarize, the biggest question I have is, do i trust the forecasted fertile days that the chart tells me (which i assume is based just on cycle length) or on the dates it gives me based on the one positive opk i had? (i did post pictures of the opk on here and everyone did say it was positive and hte negatives i got later on were definitely obvious so im running on the assumption that it really was a pos opk)

ok, ending this ramble now!

thank you in advance to anyone who responds!! :D :D

If you got a positive OPK on CD11 you likely ovulated on CD12, then your EWCM dried up by the looks of it. Your ovulation pain and short cycle length also corresponds with this. I think when you put in a positive OPK on FF it shows your fertile time going up to 2 days after, but in reality you will probably ovulate sooner than that. Sperm can live a couple of days, if not longer, in EWCM so if you BD up to CD11 you are in with a great chance  it may be worth getting in one more BD tonight just in case of late ovulation.

Good luck!

Actually, you could even have ovulated on CD11 as you say you did a test later in the day and it was negative, so the positive you got could have been the tail end of your surge, meaning the surge started on CD10. Either way you're covered!

If you have a short cycle I'd recommend you start OPKs a bit earlier, maybe CD8. I usually start on CD12 but I have a 30/31 day cycle. :)

i'm very much tempted to convince my bf we need to BD tonight as well to be extra sure we covered our bases but his work hours are so evil on the weekends (switches to 3rd shift) that i'd feel guilty waking him up.

then again, i suppose it's good practice for him hehe

but yea, next cycle i will definitely start testing sooner, as well as record my temperatures. (though fingers obviously crossed we'll get our BFP THIS time!)

Thanks for the response!!!
