Hello,

I am 37 weeks and 2 days. I have gained 19 pounds this whole pregnancy. My stomach has always measured right on track never ahead. I had a growth scan today and he is measuring over 40 weeks and already 9 lbs. I'm a small girl and very worried. Does anyone have experience with this? Did your growth scan say you were measuring big but really the baby was not that big? Thank you!

Ive got a growth scan on Tuesday im almost 32 weeks.... what did they say to you with regards to the size of the baby etc? I dont get what they plan to do if babies are large are you going to be induced or wait and the baby will be even bigger? X

Hi, growth scans cannot be that accurate from what i understand, bump measurements even less so. Last time i was supposed to be having a 7.5lb baby and she turned out to be a teeny 5lb 1oz - full term!

I will have growth scans this time (first is tomorrow) but I've been told to take them with a bit of a pinch of salt when they give an estimated weight. They are really looking for growth thats way off the charts one way or another. Ive been told they can be up to 2lb out and bump measurements up to 3lbs out.

Yeah I wouldn't take them to literally. I got told Callum would be 8lbs give or take an oz, that was the day before I had him, I had him the next day and he was 5lb 13oz! xx
