Well I am 31 weeks pregnant and single mum to be on income support and i was just wondering if after i have given birth to my baby does the weekly amount of income support increase or do they not do this anymore?and if they do would I just phone up the income support helpline and inform them once ive given birth to my little one? :) I will also need to phone and get a child tax credits form sent out and once I've registered the birth send away the child benefit form? Thank you to anyone that can help :) xx

your income support wont change as they dnt pay for children any more thats what child tax credits is for you send off for you child benefit then when ur child benefit number comes through you can claim tax credits xx

You get child tax credits and family allowence which will increase your income :]
Direct.gov has a benefit calculator to show your income goodluck.
