I take 2000mg er a day and I take all 4 pills at once since I am passed the side effects phase. But I don't do it at the same time everyday, I may take it in the morning one day and at night the next.

My question is... is it better to take them all at once or to take 2 in the morning and 2 at night, or all in the morning or all at night.

What do you think?

I do different everyday, sometimes i have one with breakfast one with lunch then one with tea, other times i have them all with my tea. I'm not sure if it matters or not but i just do what suits me that day :D. How long have you been taking them?

thank you for the reply, they were prescribed to me a year ago in may, I started taking them a few times but then I stopped. Now I have been taking them consistantly for just over a month. I am hoping the metformin plus losing 13lbs plus just coming off of bc that I have been on for 3 months while taking soy iso, will finally help me to ovulate for the first time since I was 14 (I am just about 21) as nothing else has.

What were the worst side effects when you first started taking Metformin? CharBaby, do you ovulate on your own now, regularly?

I never really got any bad side effects, think this is down to me being on a no carb/low sugar diet. I have only been on them about 6 weeks now, I didnt ovulate 1st cycle but now im on c.d 10 2nd cycle so hoping i will ovulate thius month x

I had diarrhea (sorry bout the tmi) but that went away after about a week, and it was tollerable.

Thank you both for your replies! This makes me feel more confident about trying it. I hear all of these horror stories and read the possible side effects and worry that the pros are not worth the cons, but if regular ovulation and a "someday" BFP are potentials on the horizon, it may be worth it!

I appreciate your feedback, and best wishes for ovulating this month!
