Question about Prenatal Vitamins...

Hello Ladies!

My husband and I are TTC. It's been about 7 months, but just a month ago i started taking prenatal vitamins. Is this a good idea to do when TTC? My doctor said yes, but just wanted to get your input as well. And has anyone had any success with prenatal vitamins?

Thank you!

Yes, most pre-natals even say "For before, during and after pregnancy" I have been taking them for about a month n half and I feel great. Much more energy. My mom used to work at a hospital and a lot of the nurses who worked night shift took them to stay healthy. Best of luck & :dust:!

Prenatal vitamins have just about nothing to do with a success, when it comes to TTC. They just help your baby's spinal cord development and more or less help with your own vitamin levels during TTC time, as well as pregnancy.

ok. thank you for the responses. I will continue taking them.

Prenatal vitamins are to help the development of your baby. The folic acid in them is to help prevent neural tube defects. They also are needed for your body because a pregnancy is very taxing on it. They do not increase your odds of becoming pregnant. My obgyn told me I should be on them for at least 3 months before ttc.

Taking them 3 months before is the ideal situation but dont wait 3m to TTC because of prenatals. sounds like you are not waiting either, so good for you. You dont know when it will eventually happen and many Oops babies have been had by people who weren't TTC and they are just fine.
