I did the provera days 1-10 10mg a day, my last day was Monday....?
then I started spotting Thursday and still today its not enough to get on my underwear just when I wipe, do I count this as day 2 of my cycle or wait until I get a full flow thanks!!

Anyone?? this is the 3rd day now and i'm worried its just spotting not a full AF should I not be worrying??

I'm so sorry no one answered you, but I had something similar...I called the nurse at my gyno and she said to count the bleeding as CD1 even though it was very light for me. I am usually very heavy bleeding.

How's the Provera gone for you so far? I'm about to start round 2 tomorrow. I hope to either be pregnant or get a more "normal" AF.

Hi there! I just finished 10mg on provera for 10 days. I started bleeding on the 7th day of taking the pills! I spotted for 8 days!! It was only there when I wiped never enough to get on my pad or anything! And its been 9 days since I finished the pills. im waiting to take a hpt as maybe this was ib since it was soo light and before I even finished the pills.
Im sorry for rambling lol but im sure the spotting will turn into a normal aunt flo! Good luck!

I think Provera can alterate your hormones, so all these things can happen naturally.

Hi I have no answers for you :S But i just wondered if u dont mind me asking...why have you been prescribed these? I know its to make your body have a period but is it because your TTC?? I have been prescribed provera as i havent had a period since my miscarriage and Ive been looking at it on the net and theres all sorts of things ive found about it such as it can help to get you pregnant, it dosent help to get pregnant, its really harmful to a baby etc...... So im just curious. Dont mean to be nosey! xxx

I believe Provera is not for helping you get pregnant. I have used it in two different ways: to help regulate my periods I would take one orally for a certain # of days until it would come (I think it was 8 or 10) and when I was pregnant, I was using it intravaginal to help maintain the baby because I had a risk of miscarriage, which is unfortunately what happened to me twice over 3 years ago. I haven't been able to conceive since.

My dr gave them to me to get my periods back. I stopped taking birth control and my period didn't come back on it's own. My dr knows I want to conceive and he said I could very well get pregnant with Provera. He also let me know that if I were to get pregnant while on the Provera, that it would not harm the pregnancy since it just helps build the lining for the uterus. Of course if I were to find out I was preg, I would stop taking it.

He only prescribed it to me for 3 months. He said if it didn't work, he'd have to put me on Clomid (which forces ovulation), but wanted to try to avoid it because it ups your chances of twins.
