Hi ladies.....

Just wondering if you could share your experiences...

When you baby sttn for 10+ hours did they start going longer for their feed eg fed at 2am and started going longer til eventually the fed was as 7am or did they suddenly one night not wake for the 2am fed anymore.

Tia

My DS just stopped waking. Went from having a regular 2am and 4am wakeup to none.

I weaned the 2/3am feed (by diluting the feed every other night) as I was going back to work. After that she was sttn.

Actually it was after I went back. About 7mo. But she would often wake at 5. That one gradually got later

DD was exclusively formula fed, and would wake up at midnight and 3 AM for a feed. At 5 weeks exactly she dropped both feeds, and started sleeping 9 PM-9 AM without a wake up. She would eat more during the day to make up for the dropped night feeds. :)

LOL, this kills me. Why do my babies hate sleeping so much?!?! :brat: :haha:

My DS1 started going 7-7 at 10 weeks.

DS2 dropped to one feed a night at 6 weeks but still wakes around 1am for a feed. Guess i was spoilt with DS1. DS2 is 97 percentile for weight so wonder if he needs it because he is so big.

Violet never slept that long without nursing until I night weaned her at around 2. Leo on the other hand has slowly stretched the length of his night time sleep. He recently went 8 hours but about 6 hours seems to be his norm right now. Probably not long until 7 hours is his norm.

DD2 started going longer stretches. Her 3:30AM feed turned to 4, then 5, and now she wakes anywhere from 6-7AM (with a bedtime of 7:30-8P).

My DD2 sometimes wakes at 5am but often not until 6 or even 7, She has been this way since about six or seven weeks. She is EBF.

Taurus - I wondered that with my DD she was always 95th percentile for height and length! It must take a lot of food to keep that rate up!

I think you may be right Linny. He loves his milk. Was a big baby when he was born and has stayed that way.

My DS didn't have set wake up times, I don't think I ever had two nights the same until he started sleeping through.

Some babies never sleep for ten hours plus. My eldest daughter has rarely slept for ten hours. Even at four years old she can only manage nine-and-a-bit hours and until a few months ago she would only do eight-and-a-half. Her baby sister has done nine hours plus a night since being about nine or ten weeks old!

My two month old would usually wake up around 3 am and then 6 am for a feed. Then at 3/4 weeks, she just started sleeping through. Now she usually wakes up between 7/8am, has a feed and goes back down till 10. Now if only my toddler liked sleeping in!

I should also add that she feeds more during the day to make up for not eating at night.

Both of mine just dropped the night feeds. I didnt do anything to encourage it, they both started out on 2 night feeds, then slept through one of them and a few weeks later slept through both. DD1 was 3 months old and DD2 was 5 wks. However DD2 is 11 months now and for the last week or so she has been waking around 5am and clearly still tired so been getting a small feed. She started walking a couple of weeks back so i'm wondering if thats connected or the wonder week she is going through maybe. Hoping she's back to normal soon as I'm back at work in 3 weeks xx
