I've seen the most amazing dress in a bridal shop and going with my youngest to look at it today. Thing is I don't have the money to buy it straightaway but hopefully will next month when df has done some extra overtime.

So my question is (rather dumb when I come to think of it) when you got your dresses did you have to pay for it first and then have it fitted etc or was you able to pay in installements?

If I am able to put a deposit down to ensure the dress doesn't get bought by someone else then I will be able to do that tomorrow but not sure if bridal shops do this or not. x

Most bridal shops will ask you to put a deposit down and then will let you know when you have to give them the final payment....

Hope this helps :)

Thats a great help thanks for letting me know hun :D x

when we ordered mine, we put down a deposit - around 40% then paid the balance one the dress was 'in' - about 5 months later :D

Well the dress in the window was way over budget but had a look inside and found the most AMAZING dress! It was the first one I tried on and it just looked perfect!! Was just above the budget I had in mind but was worth it as the other dresses I liked that were cheaper just didn't fit the grade.

I am ordering it next month as have to pay half the price of the dress when ordering and don't have enough til then. Can't wait to buy it :happydance: shame I can only wear it the once though :hissy: if it were up to me everyday would be a wedding day.

Said to df I will keep it for when my girls are older and they can wear it if they wish to do so at their wedding. x

Thats what I am doing with my wedding dress I said to OH I wat to keep it incase my kids want to use it or cut it up and use it

Yeah be nice for them to have something passed down to them on their wedding day even if they want to alter it to suit their tastes :D x
