This may be an odd question and I may be a complete nutball but I swear my uterus moves from side to side. Sometimes I feel the hardness of it on my left side and the next day it will be on my right side. Today, after eating one too many mini-cupcakes at my class's Valentine's party, I swear that I felt it pushing up against my ribs on my right side! Am I crazy?? Or does your uterus move around??

that's not crazy. i believe your uterus does move around during pregnancy. it sorta floats around in there, I think.

Hmmm I always get weird lumps and I thought it was the baby cause I can normally feel her shortly after that lump. Lol.

I'm so glad you asked this question! I swear mine moves around as well. Sometimes it's hard on my right side, then seems to be on the left and currently it's in the middle. Hopefully someone who has been pregnant before can come in and clarify.

Its definately not up by your ribs! It sure feels that way sometimes though. I cant imagine how it will feel at 30 or 40 weeks! You might be feeling your intestines and stomach pushed up that way esp when your bladder is full. Your uterine height is only an inch or 2 above the pubic bone right now. It will shift from over when your bladder is full b/c your bladder is on your right side.

when i felt what u r describing i assumed i was just bloated from eating lol. The uterus will have some give in it as its suspended by ligaments n muscle but it wont move to a great extent. A full bladder or bowel can have this effect along with trapped wind. As pregnancy progresses your digestive system will squash up n out of the way so when food goes round it u may notice your intestines working and bulging slightly as they do their job.

Yup. I don't think it's uterus moving about on its own though. I think it's baby moving in uterus. E.g., I get hard patches on one side or the other and I'm pretty sure it's the little one's head! Plus I can see my uterus move when she wriggles about if she is having a particularly active day :-)

I'd say it's your intestines as I've experienced something similar to what you are describing and for me it was just my intestines... :)
