Question for ex-LTTTCers who are now mothers

For me the extreme belly bump envy/jealousy went away early on. I was soooo happy to finally be one of them. I hated going to Whole Foods especially because there was AlWAYS a woman in there glowing with a big belly bump, and I just felt like crying. I was maybe more depressed than the someone younger as I really felt like my chances were next to zero at my age.

For me, it has definitely gone now because if I only ever have one child, then I'm happy (which I now have). But I found that when I was TTC, I got over it when people told me they were pregnant, or seeing all those bumps around. I just thought that I didn't want their baby, I wanted my own. And if it wasn't going to happen, at least everything else in my life is good. I have a fantastic husband, a lovely home, a nice job. Some people don't have any of that. And when I thought of single mums, I used to think that, even though I didn't have a baby, I wouldn't swap places with them. For me, LTTTC made me grateful for everything that is good in my life. And then when you do have a baby, oh my god, it's so amazing. I'm sure even more amazing than it is for those who are mega fertile. All that longing and waiting and then when you finally get there, there's nothing quite like it. And from what I've read, there is such a high percentage that even those who struggle will get there in the end. Good luck x
