I'm sorry if this has already been discussed but I'm not sure what to search for.

My question:
I'm planning on breast feeding once LO is here and expressing so that hubby can feed too. What I'm wondering is if OH goes out on his own how should he transport the milk? Should he carry it cold in an insulated bottle and then use water to heat it? Or is he ok to heat it before he goes out and carry it insulated? (presuming he wont be out from more than 4 or 5 hours max).

Thanks for reading.

Hi
I have never had to do this so might be wrong but I'd say either is ok. Would be more inclined to take it our cold anfd then warm it up when out personally.

Mine goes out cold and is heated if needed. Most cafes provide hot water for bottles, so he should be ok there. Good luck to you both!

I take mine out cold then heat it up. The problem with taking it out hot is that if it cools too much then reheating it again isn't a good idea.

its okay for minimum 4 hours out of the fridge but u can put it in a bag with an ice pack if you will be out longer. you dont have to heat it if you can get your LO to take it at room temp but if you are nursing they are used to it warm
