Question in regards to depo provera and ovulation?

I'm currently on depo provera. Got my first shot may 23rd so tomorrow will be 10 weeks on it. I thought that depo stopped ovulation? Two days ago I felt like I was soon going to be ovulating. So yesterday out of curiosity I took an ovulation test. I've never taken one before but wanted to try it. And I have what I believe to be a positive? So one, are you ovulating when the test is positive or does it mean you will be soon? Also if I'm on depo how am I still ovulating? (If I really am)

it means you will be ovulating soon, but im not sure as whether it is supposed to keep you from ovulating completing might be something to point out to your OB
