A few days ago I was round at a friend's and noticed a throbbing sensation behind my left ear. I thought possibly the start of an ear infection. Took pain meds and it went. Later that even I had the most awful shooting pain that started from the base of my skull at the back of my head going all up behind my ear and into my temple. If I had to say on a pain scale I would say a 10. It was excruciating. So I took meds and again it passed. Then yesterday I was brushing my teeth and I got the same pain at the base of my skull radiating upwards. Now I don't think it's an ear infection as I'd have consistent pain there.
Could this be a nerve thing? I'm actually panicking thinking I have an aneurysm or something. Iv also noticed having sex brings it on too. It's all very weird and scary x

I’d guess either inner ear infection or a pinched nerve in your neck! Both can be absolutely miserable! I’d visit your doctor and see what they say
