Question on Income Support

Right, where do I begin! I tried claiming IS when I was 29 weeks pregnant, I was not allowed to do so as my mum was still claiming CB for me and had to wait until that stopped! That stopped on the 2nd/3rd november, so went in to the JC and applied for IS. I heard nothing from them, even after phoning up numerous times, then on Tuesday when I called the man said he would send it down to the decision maker ASAP and get back to me. He called me later on that day at about 2 saying all their decision makers had gone home!! & he'd get back to me Wednesday(yesterday) morning. He didnt so phoned them up again and got a call back at about 1 and it had been approved and I was to pick up a giro later yesterday afternoon. (Sorry for the rant there haha!)

It was a back payment of £101.90 dated 3rd november - 16th november.

When will i get a payment through for 16th November - now?

Will this be through a giro or paid in to my bank? If it's through a giro, who will contact me? If it's in to my bank when will this get paid?

Also, what day are they likely to pay IS and how regular?

You will get IS every 2 weeks on the same day each time, but you wont know what date until the first payment goes in your bank.

From mine I had the giro and then the first bank payment 2 weeks from then.

Depends how you asked for it to be paid I said through my bank but they sent the first giro so I would get it faster then putting it through my bank.
