Question - partying in the 2ww, what would you do?

I'm trying to keep it kind of hush hush that we're TTC, mainly because it's early days and I don't want people asking in say 6 months if there's a problem.

I've got a party to go to on Saturday - I am fine with telling my best friend who's party it is why I will not be joining in all of the festivities but what should I say to other people if they ask?

I obviously will not be drinking etc which is quite unusual for me and will be noted so others are going to ask questions and I need a good excuse!

If there is a beanie in there I am definitely not risking hurting her - any ideas? Is there a safe amount of alcohol you can drink?

im not sure hun, i know pwoplw dont like to risk it if there is a beanie there ut look at al the people who drink as they dont realise they are pg hun x

You could try telling people you're taking antibiotics and can't drink with them. I know that's worked for people before now...

I just drink a non alcoholic beverage ie. Lime & Soda.....( I usually drink Vodka, Lime & Soda) so no one notices. x

You could use the antibiotics excuse. I went out on Saturday and had a few drinks when I was 8DPO but I did a test and it was a bfn. There's still a chance I know, but I was incredibly stressed out and needed a good night out!

I could say I want to drive home - yes that's a good idea! And as I'm a very new driver I will have to stay stone cold sober...excellent xx
