Hi :flower:

Just popping in to see if anyone will be able to answer my question?! I figured you'd know more than the ladies in 2nd Tri that are on 1st babies...

Is there any brand/make/shop, that sell dummies and dummy cases!? So that if baby stops sucking on it, it can go in there and stay as clean as possible, instead of them just hanging about and getting all dirty!? I'm sure someone was telling me about one that they had (quite a while ago mind) that had two compartments so that you would always have a clear and sterile one!

I'm in the UK if that helps?!

TIA :flower:

i got a box for dummies from tesco that you could sterilise them in.
avent dummies come with a cover for the teat.

if u get the tommee tippee ones they come in a case and you get 2 in that, personally though i would go for MAM dummies as they are miles better... i had the Tommee tippee ones for katie but they constantly fall out of her mouth, the MAM ones are specifically designed to stay in babies mouth though.

these are the kind... plus they have cute designs on them :)

Avent makes dummies that have a "case" that clips on over the part that goes in baby's mouth. I know that's not exactly what you're describing, but it's the closest I can think of. :flower:
ETA: Oops, someone already said this. Sorry! I'm officially no help at all. :)

sorry no real advice but i tend to keep mine in clean water and steralize them with boiling water before i use each of them x

Every dummy I have seen/bought comes in a case.

I use Avent dummies that have a clip on cover, and I also use a MAM 'Paci Pod' attached to my changing bag to keep it in when not in use. If Daniel does use the dummy while out and about, I use a dummy chain so it won't fall on the floor if he drops it.

Alternatively, I do know that you can get a 'portable dummy steriliser' but it isn't really portable.

A lot of dummies come with cases (Avent, Tommee Tippee, MAM), I use MAM dummies for Ava. You can get them from most supermarkets and chemists.

Avent do and they're nearly always on special offer of two packs of two for £6.

like pp said avent have clip on cases, MAM have boxes that come with the dummies and tommee tippee have cases (you can also sterilise the dummies in the case by putting a little bit of water in closing and microwaving for 30 secs or so)

Avent ones come with a cap, which you can put on the teat when it's not being used.

Mam ones come with a teat cover that is held on the dummy strap they sell.

But you will find that most dummies are sold in boxes, and those boxes can be used for storing your dummies, and taking them out with you.

i use the MAM dummies from boots 2 for 4.50 and come with a 2 part case x

most dummies come with cases nowadays and you won't know which is best or worst for LO til you've tried em :) Laila always had TT ones but her cousin will only have those cheap ones that you can get from the corner shop! x

I sterilise the MAM ones in the 2 part case, putting water at the bottom and blasting for 90 secs in the microwave. The case is made from microwave suitable plastic and has holes to let the steam out, and the dummies state suitable for microwave sterilising. This works fine for me, although it's not suggested in the instructions.
