Since livvy was a few weeks old she guzzled loads of milk, i'm talking about 7oz @ 7weeks!

So we started buying SMA for hungier babies - but now she has 3 meals a day & water her bottle are few and far between!

My HV said she is just under the line for her weight but i'm not worried too much as she's getting more active, but then she said she should be having about 20oz milk @ 6 months. She has about 16oz @ present.

I do make up x4 6oz bottles but she leaves loads!!

Now is it because she's on hungier milk she's getting filled up and not finishing her feeds?? I wanted to cut out one bottle so she's having only 3 but the same amount of milk but she wont take more than 5oz @ one time!

Shall i change to another SMA milk so she can drink more??? Does this hungier one fill her up quicker???

So confusing!

Thank you xx:flower:

Yeah, the aim of hungry baby milk is to keep them fuller for longer when they're too young for solids. Now she's eating a 3 meals a day you may be best going back to first milk. If she's not eating a varied diet of solids then maybe use follow on milk.

I agree with Mum2be, Jack is on SMA hungrier baby, he has been since about 11 weeks. He was only going 2 hours between feeds so the HV advised us to put him on this. He is now on 7oz of the hungry baby every 4 hours but once I start weaning him will drop him down or put him on the normal milk.
