I have a good friend who lives across the country. We've been close friends for many years, and bonded further through our difficulty in getting pregnant. I have since been lucky enough to have 2 successful pregnancies, while she has still been struggling for years. We've always been very supportive of each other and sensitive to what we're each going through. She's had several rounds of IVF which have not been successful. She is just ending a year off from TTC.
She has 1 egg left from her initial egg extraction which she just had implanted, if it doesnt work this time they are not going to try again. My question is: do I tell her (via email so she can process, alone, in her own way) I am pregnant now before I find out if it was successful or not, or wait until I hear something (good or bad) from her? I guess I'm just worried if she loses this pregnancy too the last thing she'll want to do is reach out to pregnant me when she really needs support from the few friends that know of her fertility struggles.
Thanks very much for your insights, I really appreciate it.
